IMPORTANT INFO
By following our expert guidance and personalised programmes, you can enjoy a beautiful, even tan while keeping your skin safe and healthy.
-
Age & Skin Type Restrictions:
Tanning is not permitted for anyone under the age of 18. Individuals with skin types 0 and 1 (very fair or pale skin that does not tan) should avoid tanning both indoors and outdoors. These skin types are not eligible to use our sunbeds.
-
Consent & Consultation:
All new clients must complete and sign a Ministry of Health Indoor Tanning Consent Form before their first session. By signing, you agree to follow the safety rules and guidelines outlined in the document. A copy of your signed consent form can be provided upon request. All forms are securely stored for two years.

Experience More Than Just a Tan with Our Combo Beds:
Our combo beds are designed to give your skin the love it deserves by combining skincare and tanning in one session. These beds use red light therapy to stimulate collagen and elastin production, improving elasticity, circulation,
and encouraging cell renewal - all of which help firm and tighten the skin.
The red light also penetrates deep into the skin, enhancing blood circulation and accelerating the tanning process.
This means you can achieve a deeper, more even tan without needing a higher dose of UV light - resulting in smoother, stronger skin and a golden glow, without the risk of overexposure. -
Eye Protection & Session Timing:
ECM Sun Lounge approved UV protective eyewear must be worn during every tanning session.
As per Ministry of Health guidelines: You must not tan more frequently than every 48 hours, or 3 times a week, whether indoors or outdoors. Tanning both indoors and outdoors on the same day is not recommended. -
Health & Safety Considerations:
If your skin is sunburnt, you will not be allowed to tan until fully healed, as further exposure can cause long-term damage and delays in tanning results. Tanning is a gradual process. The safest and most effective results come from building your tan slowly and consistently, following a personalised programme based on your unique skin type.

Why lotions are important:
Dry tanning can lead to slower results, dry, patchy, dull skin and using a tanning lotion or cream before a sunbed session is essential as it directly affects skin health, comfort and tanning results.
Here are the key reasons:
Moisture & Skin Protection:
Hydration barrier: UV exposure naturally dehydrates skin. A professional indoor-tanning lotion locks in moisture, keeping the skin supple and reducing dryness or flaking.Deeper Colour, Even Tan:
Better light absorption: Well moisturised skin tans more evenly and can develop colour up to 40% more effectively than dry skin.Streak free finish:
Lotion prevents the patchiness that can occur when dry areas absorb UV unevenly.Nourishment & Repair:
Most indoor-tanning lotions include vitamins, antioxidants, and botanical oils that help counter free radical damage and support collagen, giving a healthier long term glow.Enhanced Results & Efficiency:
Intensifiers and bronzers in specialised lotions speed up the tanning process and help you reach your desired shade in fewer sessions, saving time and lamp exposure.Always apply a quality indoor tanning lotion before a sunbed session to protect your skin, achieve a richer and longer lasting tan and maintain that healthy, radiant look.
-
Realistic Expectations:
Everyone tans at a different rate. It is not possible to predict exactly how quickly your skin will respond. There is a natural limit to how dark your skin can become, regardless of sunbed technology or tanning products used. Fairer skin types may need multiple sessions before pigment becomes visible on the skin’s surface. Using scientifically proven tan-accelerating products can support and speed up the tanning process safely.
